9 Steps To Follow When Writing a SEO Friendly Article

SEO stands for search engine optimization, which is the practice of increasing the quality and quantity of traffic to your website through organic search engine results. Therefore, if your website or blog shows up on the main page you will have many likes, shares, clicks and customers. 

An SEO  article is written as outlined below:

1. Carry out keyword research

Keywords plays an important role in writing SEO friendly article. Right keywords helps in attracting your target audience.

Notes while choosing keywords;

  • Choose the right keywords to avoid wastage of your time and budget.

  • Know the intention of the searcher while using keywords.

  • Research resources to create an article which is competitive and already shown up in search results.

  • Focus on long tall keywords.

2. Structure your content

Follow a solid structure for a great content. 

Always identify main part of your post, then divide them into different parts ensuring they have introduction, main body and then conclusion.

3. Write catchy titles

Tittle have great impact in writing a SEO article. The tittle should be descriptive and with catchy words which directs the reader what they are reading about.

Tips to follow when writing tittles;

  • Use keywords at the beginning of your tittle.

  • The tittle should be under 60 characters.

  • The tittle contents should be described clearly.

4. Write SEO friendly URLs

In creating a SEO article, URLs should be well crafted since they provide a better user experience and are easier to share .

Rules in creating a SEO friendly URLS are;

  • Target words should be included in each page.

  • URLs should be shorter with around 60 character or 3 to 5 words.

  • Use hyphens to separate your words.

  • Use lower case letters.

  • URLs should be simple, compelling and relevant.

5. Write short paragraphs

In writing a SEO friendly article, the paragraphs should be short.

6. Optimize meta description

Meta description is a summary of your content that Google uses to show beneath your tittle in search results. It should explain what your article is about and include your target keywords.

7. Add links that make sense

To create a friendly SEO article, include some words statistics or points that could benefit further clarification.

8. Use the optimal content length 

A SEO article should not be very long and should not be too short. An article should consist of words range between 300 to 500 . But the optimal content length is around 2000 words. The article you need to provide the most useful and informative content hence quality is more consider to more important than quantity.

9. Use the SEO analysis tools

One has to use the SEO analysis tools in writing a SEO article . It's helps in finding the correct keywords, check your grammar and figure out the popular content on your site.
